WASHINGTON, Jul 18 (PRIME) -- Russia reduced its holding of U.S. treasuries to U.S. $14.9 billion in May, the lowest figure since 2007, and is no longer among the 33 biggest holders of such bonds, according to the data of the U.S. Department of the Treasury seen by PRIME on Wednesday.

In March, Russia held the 16th position in the rating of the largest treasuries holders and descended to the 22nd place in April keeping only $48.7 billion.
